Performance and Value with Intel® Celeron® M Processor and 855GME Chipset
The Dell Latitude D505 Series of notebooks feature the latest Intel® Pentium® M and Celeron® Mprocessors, which utilize a micro-architecture incorporating a power-optimized 400MHz front side busand aggressive clock gating designed for higher performance & lower power. The Pentium Mprocessors feature 1 MB of power managed cache and Intel SpeedStep® Technology. The newCeleron M processor provides good performance at a great value, and includes 512 KB of level 2cache. The D505 Series of notebooks also incorporate the Intel® 855GME chipset, which offersintegrated graphics capability with 4X AGP and USB 2.0 support. The integrated graphics utilize thesystem memory as a shared resource for both system memory and graphics needs, dynamicallyallocating a portion of the memory to graphics based on the graphic demands of the applicationscurrently in use. Up to 64MB of memory can be allocated to graphics, and with integrated videoacceleration, you can view high quality, full frame rate DVD on your notebook or connected externaldisplay with exceptionally low power consumption.
